Note: This blog is part of a Thanksgiving series of blogs highlighting attributes of God for which I am thankful.
What can make God stop loving me? What can separate me from His love? What can dim or cloud the intensity of His love for me?
Please read the answer very slowly: nothing, nothing at all.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 8:35, 37-39
I’m thankful for God’s love.
Sometimes I forget about it.
Sometimes I live as if I must earn it.
Sometimes I assume it has dimmed because mine for Him isn’t as passionate.
Sometimes I doubt it.
But God’s love for me remains unfailing. Always. Forever.
I’m thankful for His love.
What attribute of God that begins with an L are you thankful for today?
Light. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. Thank you, Monica, for walking in His light and for writing of His light. You are an encouragement.
“I am that bread of LIFE.” (John 6:48) I am so glad that God gives us eternal life as a free gift!!
God is longsuffering. He works and works in our lives; then He waits and waits to see fruit. He doesn’t push us, belittle us, or force us. He never gives up on any of us.
